After a career at PostNL, Equens, Atos and Friesland Bank Allard joined the Dutch Payment Association. This was during its transformation towards an innovating collaboration platform, where banks and payment service providers cooperate to remove barriers in online commerce. In 2012, Allard was project manager for the emandates solution and starting in 2014 he started the BankID (now iDIN) project with the five larger banks.
